About The Sailing Hangar
Small boats deserve a real marketplace
Search any big boat marketplace for a Nacra 17 or an F18, and you'll find it buried a dozen clicks deep under superyachts and cruising cats. Search a class association's website, and you'll often find a "boats for sale" page that's really just a list of emails someone updates by hand. Search Facebook, and you'll find real listings — scattered across a dozen groups, impossible to filter, gone in a week.
Small-craft sailors have been left to fend for themselves. The Sailing Hangar is built to fix that.
What we do
The Sailing Hangar is a classifieds marketplace focused on dinghies and small multihulls — starting with catamarans and beach cats (Nacra, Hobie, F18, Formula, and more), with monohull classes to follow. Whether you're selling a whole boat, a spare set of foils, a used trapeze harness, or your outgrown wetsuit, you can list it here — searchable by class, condition, price, and location, the way it should have worked all along.
We built this platform with three principles in mind:
- Class comes first. Every boat and part listing is tagged to a specific class, so you can filter the way you'd filter a car marketplace by make and model — not scroll through everything hoping to spot what you need.
- Free to list, always. Listing your gear costs nothing. Sellers who want extra visibility can boost a listing to feature it more prominently — that's the only thing we charge for.
- We stay out of your way. The Sailing Hangar connects buyers and sellers directly. We don't touch payments, we don't hold your money, and we don't get in the middle of the sale — you handle the transaction the way you always have, boat to boat, sailor to sailor.
Who it's for
- Individual sailors buying or selling their own boat, parts, or gear
- Clubs and class associations listing fleet boats or supporting their members' classifieds
- Dealers and brokers with small-craft inventory to move
Where we're starting
We're launching with the catamaran and beach cat classes — Nacra, Hobie, F18, Formula, and more — across Europe, in English and Italian. Monohull classes (ILCA, 470, 29er, and others) are next.
